As best I can tell, Office is not activated but I can't get any of the software in Office open to trigger the activation. The system does not pass Office validation using the online tool. The Office software is a retail package purchased from a large retailer (WalMart). I uninstalled office and reinstalled it and I get the same problem. When I double click them, I get the hour glass for a second or two then nothing. I installed it and entered the software key and got the green check mark indication indicating that the key was OK but after installation, none of the software in Office will launch.

Yesterday I bought a copy of Office Home and Student 2007. The OS is an OEM (small biz/system builder) purchased from an online retailer (and it validates just fine with MGA Diag. I built my own computer a few days ago and installed Windows XP Pro (SP3).
